Grammar Minimize

There are three types of verbs based on their last vowel in the dictionary form: a-verbs, e-verbs, and и-verbs, i.e. those ending in a, e, and и, respectively, in the form found in the dictionary. The present tense of the a-verbs has the following endings:

јас -м
ти -ш
тој -
ние -ме
вие -те
тие -ат

where the - represents the dictionary form.

As a general rule, negating actions is performed by adding the word "не" in front of the verb. For example, не се викам. One exception is the verb introduced in this module, нема, which declines as a separate verb. This verb is introduced at this time because of its relatively high frequency in usage.
