Beginner Language Lessons

Below is the curriculum for the Beginner Language Lessons. Before you begin, we suggest that you read our Getting Started page. Then, we suggest that you download the alphabet tutorial (below) and familiarize yourself with the Macedonian (Cyrillic) alphabet. All of our tutorials use this alphabet. Although in Macedonia, there are some shop, hotel, and restaurant signs in the Latin (English) alphabet and some people use the Latin alphabet when communicating online (especially before Windows accommodated the Macedonian Cyrillic), the official alphabet for the Macedonian language is Cyrillic and so you need to be familiar with it for survival.

Clicking on the title of the unit will take you to general information about that unit, including details about what you will learn in that unit, how to navigate the tutorials, and how to set up your computer keyboard so you can type in Macedonian. Some of the exercises will require you to write in answers in the Macedonian alphabet and will mark your answers as incorrect if you do not. 

The first unit is available to you without registering for the site, but the subsequent units will require that you register. We hope that you will enjoy the first unit so much that you won't mind registering.
